CFP® Professional Competency examination – MARCH 2022
CANDIDATES WILL BE REGISTERING FOR BOTH CASE STUDIES
The CFP® Professional Competency Examination (PCE) is one of the certification requirements for obtaining the CFP® designation.
The approved qualifications for access to the PCE are the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial planning and the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Financial planning.
This is an online examination.
The CFP® examination is scheduled for the10th and 11th of March 2022

This is an online examination and it is important that candidates note and adhere to the terms and conditions relating to the online examination.
Terms and conditions:
TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION:
It is the candidate’s responsibility to have the necessary resources in order to write the PCE online, these resources include:
- Access to PC or laptop with imbedded camera
- Sufficient connectivity
- To check load shedding or planned interruption with regards to electricity.
Pre- examination testing will be conducted; it is the candidate’s responsibility to do the mock testing and to ensure that they are able to access the online learning system and that they understand how the test will run.
Candidates are required to allow access to the system to record the session. This means that candidates must have a camera on the computer- imbedded.
DAY OF THE EXAMINATION:
Technical issues must be reported immediately.
Any behaviour deemed suspicious by the FPI will be grounds for a disqualification.
Candidates are not permitted to use other electronic devices or smart watches. Use of these items during the exam is prohibited.
Candidates will be required to provide an explanation if suspicious behaviour occurs.
The browser will be locked and candidates will not be able to access any online material or websites
Candidates need to be in a private space with no other individuals around.

Candidates who have any special need requirements must contact email@example.com at least four weeks before the examination.
Registration closes on the 25th of February 2022 at 16h00.
This means that all documentation should have been submitted by this date and payment for the registration should reflect in the FPI Account on this date.
All registered candidates will receive access to the learning portal and the CFP PCE discussion forum to assist with preparation for the PCE.

To register for this examination you need to contact certification and send a confirmation with a letter from a medical practitioner requesting extra time before you may register for this event.

EXAMINATION FEE: R 3215.00 – INCL VAT for registrations done by no later than 31 December 2021 for early bird discount.
EXAMINATION FEE: TBC for registrations after end of December 2021 for the March examination.
