Call for nominations: FPI Board of Directors & Regional Committee Members

Our Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the election of three non-executive directors and nominations for the appointment of two non-executive directors in line with Section 16 of the FPI Memorandum of Incorporation, as well as other applicable regulations of the Institute.

FPI members are hereby invited to nominate CFP® professional members they think would be suitable for the following roles – self-nominations are allowed. Please note that even though all FPI members are welcome to take part in the nomination exercise, they must nominate CFP® professionals for the elected positions.

Regional Committees Election (Regions: Central, EC, Gauteng, KZN, Northern, WC) 

 

Criteria 

  • All FPI members are invited to nominate candidates that would be suitable for the following roles; self-nominations are also allowed.
  • We are seeking CFP® professionals who can promote the interest of FPI and the financial profession within their respective regions.

 

National Director Election (Three positions available)  


Criteria
 

  • All FPI members are invited to nominate candidates that would be suitable for the following roles; self-nominations are also allowed.
  • We are seeking CFP® professionals who can bring strength, expertise and capacity to the FPI Board of Directors.


Notice
 

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong accounting background and/or skillset; experience in developing young professionals and active in FPI Regional Committees.
The nominees will stand for election as a Nationally Elected Director for one of the upcoming positions on the FPI Board of Directors.


Board Appointed-Director Position (Two positions available)  


Criteria 

  • FPI members and the public are invited to nominate candidates that would be suitable for the following roles; self-nominations are also allowed.
  • This position is open to non-members as well.
  • We are seeking energetic persons who can bring strength, expertise and capacity to the FPI Board of Directors.

Notice 

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong accounting background and/or skillset and who have knowledge of financial planning.

The shortlisted nominees for the Board Appointed – Director for Consumer Affairs Position will attend a panel interview and be selected by our Nominations and Compliance Review (NCR) Committee.
