In order for a member to retain their professional designation and membership of the FPI, they must comply with certain ongoing membership requirements :
1. Adherence to the Code of Ethics
2. Obtaining the required Continued Professional Development Points (CPD)
3. Fit & Proper status (no judgements, no criminal record or disciplinary actions in process)
4. Correctly using the FPI Marks
5. Payment of the annual membership fee (which includes affiliation and accreditation fees)
Transgressing any or part of these requirements to remain a member may results in disciplinary action which may result in membership being suspended or inactivated. The FPI has an agreement with the Financial Services Board (FSB) that changes in membership will immediately be communicated to the FSB.
