National-Treasury
National Treasury released a draft policy document discussion following Minister Praveen Gordon's 2011 Budget Speech. This draft policy document, “A safer financial sector to serve South Africa better,”  outlines some ideas and concepts of how government intends re-organising the financial sector going forward. Many of the proposals have already started taking shape. Further to that National Treasury and SARS also released the Taxation Laws Amendment Bill 2011 on 3 June 2011.

The FPI has prepared draft commentary for both the aforementioned and is seeking further commentary from members in this regard before we can make the final submissions for these documents.
