This is the membership level in the Financial Planning Institute’s career path. In order to be invited to become a member at this level, the applicant must have :
 | An appropriate NQF level 6 qualification (Bachelors degree or equivalent diploma) |

| Have been declared fit and proper by the Financial Planning Institute |

| Paid the annual membership fee to the Financial Planning Institute (which includes the FPI Accreditation fee). |

| Have completed a Board Assessment successfully |
| Have at two years relevant practical experience |
In addition, in order to retain membership, 50 Continued Professional Development points (CPD) need to be earned on a 2-year cycle. Please read further regarding ongoing membership requirements in "Standards", "Member Discipline".
