More CFP professionals to join the global and local community

At an induction ceremony that took place on Tuesday, 19 June 2012 during the FPI Annual Convention at the Sandton Convention Centre, 258 professionals were awarded their designations. These professional members completed their studies through one of the approved providers being Milpark Business School, University of Johannesburg, University of the Free State and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Students who completed their qualification through the University of Stellenbosch were awarded their designations in March this year.

Besides achieving the qualification, these members passed the FPI board exam, met the experience requirement and accepted the FPI Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility. The CFP® designation clearly distinguishes them, and all other CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals, from the majority in the industry.

“You are knowledgeable, experienced and professional as well as uniquely qualified to provide financial planning services to your clients, use it to your advantage!” said Anthony Campher, CFP®, Head:Business Development and Membership Services at the FPI.
